Remediation
SAGE Environmental Services has extensive expertise in contaminated site remediation, helping to restore impacted land to safe, compliant conditions while maximising its value. Our team applies advanced remediation techniques tailored to site-specific conditions, ensuring effective risk mitigation while meeting all regulatory requirements.
We develop Remediation Action Plans (RAPs) that offer cost-effective solutions to complex contamination challenges. Our expertise in soil and groundwater remediation includes in-situ and ex-situ treatment methods such as bioremediation, chemical oxidation, and soil stabilisation.
SAGE also provides brownfield redevelopment support, transforming contaminated sites into usable land for future development. We ensure full regulatory compliance and permitting, guiding clients through environmental regulations and industry standards.
To support businesses decision-making, we develop custom tools to rank contaminated sites, prioritising locations with the highest likelihood of successful remediation while also identifying uncertainties that could impact project outcomes. By integrating scientific expertise with a strategic, risk-based approach, SAGE helps clients achieve efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible remediation outcomes.
Additionally, we provide independent reviews of proposed Remediation Action Plans (RAPs) and remediation techniques, ensuring that projects align with best practices and deliver measurable results. Whether dealing with industrial contamination, petroleum spills, heavy metals, or hazardous waste, SAGE delivers innovative, science-driven solutions to remediate and repurpose impacted sites.
Case Studies
SAGE Environmental Services was engaged by the ACT Government to undertake a third-party assessment of the existing Remediation Action Plan (RAP) and to validate the proposed excavation extents and associated soil volume estimates. This review formed part of the due diligence process associated with the divestment of Parkes Block 12 Section 3 and Reid Block 12 Section 33.
Leveraging our team’s technical expertise and regulatory insight, SAGE provided critical inputs to provide assurance to the ACT Government regarding the divestment. SAGE provided timely inputs to an independent excavation model to verify the volumes associated with the development were accurate. Throughout the process the SAGE team highlighted opportunities for potential cost savings to the ACT Government.
