Sage Environmental is partnered with the Department of Defence to provide strategic technical advice relating to the assessment, remediation and management of per- and poly- fluoro alkyl substances (PFAS) contamination across a number of establishments across the national Defence portfolio.
Within this role, Amanda and Angela are assisting Defence to formulate pragmatic solutions and provide verification and assurance within PFAS Investigation and Management Directorate demonstrating both Amanda’s and Angela’s abilities to provide both technical and strategic advice to both government organisations and industry peers.
Angela oversees the technical quality for ongoing monitoring and risk profile for sites historically impacted with PFAS across the Defence estate.
Amanda collaborates with external government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment with respect to Defence research and lessons learnt regarding approaches to PFAS remedial responses for this emerging group of chemicals.
Amanda has also supported Defence in technical discussions with the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), US Department of Defence (DoD) and the US DoD’s Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program and Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (SERDP and ESTCP) around monitoring, regulation, remediation and management approaches.
